My Baby is Hero: the AI bedtime story app where your child is the hero
Parents enter a name, an age and a few details; the app writes an original story around that child and illustrates it chapter by chapter, with narration, in one of 7 languages. It is an AI bedtime story app we build and run ourselves at IvorySoft.
- Original stories for ages 0–7, illustrated chapter by chapter
- Free tier: 3 personalized stories, no card required
- Premium: 50 stories a month with a 7-day free trial
- A child’s photo never leaves the device — it is not stored in any cloud

How it started
My Baby is Hero started in February 2026 as a question we wanted to answer for ourselves: what would a bedtime story look like if it were written for one specific child, tonight, instead of printed once for every child? The first version was a native iOS app that took a name, an age and a few interests and returned a short illustrated story with that child as the hero.
The hard parts were not the story text. They were keeping illustrations consistent from chapter to chapter, keeping generation fast enough for a bedtime routine, keeping a child’s photo strictly on the device, and pricing image generation so a free tier could exist at all. Those constraints shaped the product: an Android app followed, then a web onboarding with checkout for parents who find the app from a search rather than a store.
What’s next
What we build next is decided by usage and by the blog. The weekly posts of original short stories and parent guides show us which formats and ages parents actually search for, and that is what gets prioritised — not a feature list written in advance.
“We ship it the way we would ship it for a client: senior review on every AI feature, and no shortcuts on a child’s privacy.”
What it’s built with
The same stack we use for client apps, which is the point: every pattern on this page is one we can build for you.
- iOS
- SwiftUI (iOS 16+), MVVM, StoreKit 2 subscriptions.
- Android
- Jetpack Compose, Kotlin, Material 3, Google Play Billing.
- Backend
- Supabase — Postgres, Auth, Storage and Deno Edge Functions; story generation and billing run server-side.
- AI
- Google Gemini for story text, chapter illustrations and text-to-speech narration, behind ordered model fallback chains so a single model outage never blocks a bedtime.
- Web
- Next.js landing with an onboarding flow and Stripe checkout; markdown blog.
- Analytics
- Amplitude and Firebase Analytics.
Want the same AI layer in your own product? That is our AI integration service; the app itself is the kind of build our mobile development team does for clients.
